Jono's Corner of 616, Tuesday Fandom Time

Raven had spent several days in the form of her namesake, mostly keeping out of Joni's reach (the one time she'd let her guard down had resulted in a pounce attack and feathers flying about the room) and munching on the berries and nuts Jono thoughtfully provided (though she had the strangest craving for roadkill, which she was not going to think too hard about later). But she was restless due to being confined inside. Flapping about the room just wasn't enough to really stretch her wings.

So she was going to take it out on Jono by constantly getting her beak and wings into whatever he was doing. Caw! Pay attention to her!

"You have nothing else that demands your attention?" Raven said. One hand idly slid over the wrappings that covered his chest, then down along his side until it reached his hip. "Because I will happily occupy it then."

It was her hand along his side, stopping at his hip that he clung to, that little bit of actual physical touch that was so much more real than pretending he could feel her fingers through the flames. His own hand slipped up to cup over hers, and he shook his head a little.

//A few classes here and there, maybe. I'm one hell of a teacher's assistant, you know.//

That was... pretty much all he was, actually. The ESU thing had hit him hard, and while he hadn't officially resigned from active duty, Scott was at least giving him some time to mull it over while he recuperated.

"I would ask if I could sit in on one of the classes, but I would surely get in trouble for attempting to flirt with the teaching assistant," Raven teased, sliding one leg over his. "I would be a terrible distraction I fear."

[furnaceface]

//Especially if you go as you are,// Jono replied, a soft teasing note before sending a light kiss to brush over her lips. //Very distracting, that.//

Raven giggled and pressed her face against his shoulder. "I could never do that," she said. "This is only for you."

Though maybe it was a tiny bit tempting just to see his reaction. Or Paige's.

One or the both of them would explode. For very different reasons, likely.

//All for me,// Jono mused, nuzzling up against her some more while Joni made herself at home on his feet. Fine. Feet could be for kittens. //You spoil me, you know that, right?//

"I do not think I spoil you enough," Raven said. The tips of the fingers at his hip slipped under the waistband of his pants, seeking out skin to touch.

"I believe I have made you promises I have yet to keep. That will have to be rectified some day soon."

[furnaceface]

//Soon,// he agreed, tone soft as her fingers found flesh. //Th'sooner, th'better... You know, I've missed that?//

Her fingers, there. His own were now trailing lazily down along her arm. Touch would never not be a good thing, and right now... he needed it. Even as hesitant as he was to go about unwrapped, there was something to be said for skin against skin. Hers against his.

Raven could sense that need, and she needed no urging to fill it. Her fingertips drew tiny circles on his hip as she snuggled closer, her face against his neck, sending him the feel of her nuzzling.

"I have been spoiled that I am able to see you quite often," she said. "But I do not like that time passes faster for you, so that it is more rare that I am able to share my love with you. That is unfair to you."

[furnaceface]

//Well... I'm not going to argue that I don't like being gone so long between each time we meet,// Jono noted, his voice going a little distant as he got momentarily swept up in that nuzzling. It had been too long all over again. Every time was too long all over again. //But it is as a result of my own choices...//

"If you say it like that, I am going to begin to think that you do not wish to see me," Raven said teasingly, pretending to start to pull away from him. But she was far too comfortable right now to give it any real effort.

[furnaceface]

Jono's arm immediately tightened a little around her. No pulling away. Please, please no.

He recognized a moment later that even the gesture was meant as a tease, and he felt sheepish almost immediately. Too many people shying back, around here. Now he was getting clingy. Lord.

//I meant it was more of an unpleasant side-effect of the choices that I made,// he stated, a moment too late for it to really be a witty retort.

I am not going anywhere. She didn't say the words so much as send the feelings behind them, wrapping him in love and warmth as she settled back against him, one arm across his body so that her hand was still at his hip, the other behind him.

"I know," she said softly. "It has been harder for you than for me by far, and I will certainly do all I can to make up for time missed."

[furnaceface]

//Hardly seems fair that you're the one doing all th'work, mind,// Jono offered, getting at least a little bit of his banter back and relaxing a little into her arms, at least. //You did just spend th'better part of a week stuck as a bird. I think that deserves a good amount of return effort on my part, too.//

Beyond just being clingy, anyhow.

"Well, anything you wish to do to make up for that I do not think I could refuse," Raven smiled. "It was such a distressing few days of nothing but flapping about and eating berries and trying not to let Joni catch me. Her claws are very fearsome when you become so much smaller."

As she said "claws" she lightly scratched her own nails against his hip. Because she was evil, yes.

Oh, hey. Hello, there.

//Of course, I was trying to keep an eye out for that,// Jono replied, sounding a fair bit more distracted now than he had a moment before. //You know... making certain that... that you weren't... eaten.//

By the cat. The cat who ate things.

His hand was sliding up over the contours of her hip, now, slowly, like he was trying to commit every last inch of her skin to memory all over again.

"For which I am very grateful," Raven said with a little sigh at his touch. She was finding herself getting very much warmer, and it wasn't because of her cloak. She scraped her nails against his skin again and at the same time sent him a little nip to his throat. "I do not wish to be eaten."

She honestly didn't mean that in any sort of dirty way.

[furnaceface]

//No, no, of course not...// Jono's voice was a little wobbly, that time. Nips to the throat were a definite distraction, indeed. Perhaps from the fact that... well, he wouldn't be the one doing any eating, if there had been some dirtiness in that statement of hers. //I can't think of anybody who would enjoy...//

What had he been saying, again?

//H'lo, luv.//

Raven had pretty amazing hands. Skin. Everything.

"Hello, Jono." She brushed tiny kisses against throat, sending him the sensation of lips against skin. Her fingers kept in contact with his hip so that he wouldn't be without the feel of her touch, even for an instant. "I have missed you very much."

Even if it hadn't been as long for her, she still felt the empathic ache of his lost time.

[furnaceface]

//Missed you,// he countered, because Jonothon Starsmore was a bloody wordsmith, okay. One who was shivering a little, happily, and leaning his head back as though it made the slightest bit of difference in the world as to how much access she had to his throat. //Missed... this. Us. Together. Touch.//

As that last statement continued, it seemed to be less about words, and more about a swirl of notions, until touch was nothing more than a shapeless idea of fingers and feeling and warmth.

"There would be much more to touch," Raven said, her cheeks pinking as she tried to sound bold, "if you had less clothing on." There was only so much she could touch right now, after all. Leather pants made that especially difficult.

[furnaceface]

//If I...// Jono glanced at Raven at that, his thoughts, for an instant, trending toward really? before the rest of his brain caught up and reminded him that he was currently laying down in his bed next to his naked girlfriend. Of course really.

Play it cool. Look thoughtful.

//Just how much less do you suppose would make a difference?//

Her response was to tug at the waistband of his pants. "This would be a start," she said. "It is only fair, is it not? Since I have nothing on at all."

She was trying hard not to giggle and break the mood, but trying to be seductive was hard.

[furnaceface]

She did have a point!

//I'll have to move,// he pointed out, only whining a little bit as he shifted his weight about, working his way out of his jacket, first. It was kind of silly to be wearing that in bed in the first place. He wasn't going to keep it on while taking off his trousers, thank you. //Innit fortunate that you're worth a little bit of rearranging?//

He was working his belt off already.

"Very fortunate," Raven agreed, helping him out of his jacket. She was still careful to make certain that she was always touching him no matter how he had to move.

Once again she found herself envying Karla's ability to simply make clothes vanish, but there was also something nice about helping Jono out of his clothes herself.
