trigons_child | The Netherverse, Tuesday Night Fandom Time

Raven's Soul-Self returned to the Netherverse and reappeared near where the battle against the demon Goronn still raged, depositing those she had brought back with her from Fandom. It then returned to Raven's side, merging once again with her body as the fight continued.

longislandiceme	Bobby- Iceman- took a few moments to get his bearings before looking for a place where he might be needed.
Goronn	"Come to Goronn, little one," the demon laughed. "I will devour you with the rest."
longislandiceme	"Devour this," Iceman quipped, sending a blast of ice the demon's way.
Goronn	Goronn had been injured in the fighting so far, though not severely. The ice, however, hurt, cracking its skin and making it bleed black goop. Goronn...was not pleased. So there was now a blast of fire coming Bobby's way.
longislandiceme	"Um, gross?" Iceman commented at the black goop. "So didn't need to see that, thanks." He managed to dodge the fire by sliding out of the way on a column of ice, but the fire still hit that ice column, sending him stumbling for a few moments before he managed to right himself. "Jerk."
Goronn	The attacks of the others had been a nuisance, but this one's ice could cause Goronn serious harm. It had to put an end to the man of ice and fast. It would crush him into little bitty ice cubes, yes.
longislandiceme	He'd certainly do his level best to attempt that, yep. "You need to cool it, dude."

psychic_wonder	Sam followed Raven as quickly as he could and took a look around to gauge the situation and try to see where his help would be the most useful.
Goronn	Goronn had been taking a beating but was still going strong, and it turned its head to the new arrivals. "Fresh meat!" it cackled, slithering toward Sam.
psychic_wonder	Sam took a step back, and eyed the demon warily. "I wouldn't be too sure about that if I were you. You should really let Raven go."
Goronn	Goronn laughed. "And how are you going to stop me, human?" it said.
psychic_wonder	Sam looked around quickly, and spotted a rock that was big enough to possibly hurt, and small enough to not hurt him as he used his TK to pick it up and throw it at Goronn. "I've got a few ways," he said.
Goronn	Rocks were in abundance for ones TKing pleasure, but Goronn had a tough hide, and it bounced off him without doing much damage. "Have to do better than that," the demon said, slithering closer to try to take a bite out of Sam.
psychic_wonder	Sam stepped back as Goronn got closer, trying to keep distance between them. Not willing to give up after only one try, he took up another rock and threw it, this time aiming for Goronn's head.
Goronn	This time Goronn howled in pain. Bobby's ice attacks had cracked the tough outer shell of his skin, revealing the more vulnerable areas beneath. The rock split open the demon's skull, and more black blood burbled forth. Beset on all sides with ice and rocks and magic and lightsabers, Goronn flailed and fought for its life. But now that its defense was gone, it could not last. With a scream of rage and pain, it fell and lay still. It was quiet for a moment, but it didn't last.

loinclothofevil	The fiery eyes above had watched the battle impassively, but now a voice rolled like thunder across the skies. "ALL YOUR PREPARATIONS ARE MEANINGLESS," Trigon bellowed. "THE TIME HAS NOW COME! TRIGON IS READY TO ENTER YOUR DIMENSION AND DESTROY IT!" Yellow beams of energy shot down from the eyes, knocking those below to the ground and temporarily stunning them. The air grew thick with the stench of sulfur and brimstone as brumous clouds gathered with satanic fury. There was a rumbling of thunder as a huge arm reached through the rift. "NOW I STAND BETWIXT OUR TWO MIGHTY UNIVERSES, AND I REVEL IN THE POWER THAT BELONGS ONLY TO TRIGON."
trigons_child	Trigon's blast hadn't knocked Raven down; he'd spared her, for now. "Trigon, go back!" she pleaded. "You will face resistance here unlike any you have ever encountered before!"
loinclothofevil	"RESISTANCE IS FUTILE TO ONE WHO IS THE DESTROYER OF ALL THAT EXISTS."
trigons_child	"But this world is not like the others you've conquered!" Raven cried. "We will not cater to your mad whims!"
loinclothofevil	Almost all of Trigon had appeared now, towering a hundred feet above them. "GIRL, YOU WILL CATER! YOU WILL GROVEL! YOU WILL BEG FOR MERCY. AND I WILL SHOW YOU NONE!"
trigons_child	Raven made one final and desperate plea, even though she knew it was pointless. "With all the power at your command, for once, can you not rise above your lusts and show compassion?"
loinclothofevil	Trigon shrank his form down until he was only twice the size of a normal man. "WHEN YOU ABANDONED THE TEMPLE AZARATH AND THOSE FOOLS WHO PREACH PEACE AND COWARDNESS, I THOUGHT AT LAST YOU HAD REALIZED YOUR TRUE IDENTITY," he said, his voice beginning to drop to normal levels. "I THOUGHT YOU HAD FINALLY SHOWN THE TRUE STRENGTH YOU HAD INHERITED FROM YOUR FATHER. AND I HAD HOPED YOU WOULD RULE THE COSMOS AT MY SIDE. BUT I SEE YOU ARE STILL A WEAK FOOL. AND ALL THE PITY FOR IT. YOU ARE MY ONLY CHILD TO HAVE EVER SURVIVED."
trigons_child	"I have inherited something from you, Father!" Raven said fiercely. "It is an evil that dwells within me, an evil I despise, for it forced me to flee the peace of Azarath's teachings. It separated me from the mother I love, but I swear it will not lead me to my father, the man I have sworn to defy!" Smoke surrounded Raven as she spread out her arms to summon forth her Soul-Self. Staying here to confront Trigon was foolish. She gathered her friends to herself and teleported them all away.
