After thoroughly embarrassing herself in front of Professor Skywalker, Raven returned to the campsite, fully intending to hide in her alcove for the rest of the day. Or week. Or month. Possibly, the rest of her life even.

Before she could reach the door, however, and much to her dismay, she broke into song again.

Joan was waiting for Rachel so they could go shopping as planned. And she couldn't help but snicker at the other girl singing. Mostly because she was glad it wasn't just her.

"Okay, so this is definitely a weird Fandom thing then," she said.

"How do we make it stop?" Raven said, still horrified.

"I think we probably have to wait it out," Joan admitted.

Raven began to seriously consider the gags she'd seen in Aphrodite's shop. "Someone is making this happen? Who?"

Joan shrugged. "It's Fandom. Weird stuff happens all the time."

"Is everyone on the island is affected?" Raven asked. Shared humiliation was so much better.

"Probably," Joan said. "I sang this morning."

"What did you sing?" Raven had to ask.

"It was... just a song I've heard," Joan said, not really wanting to get into the part where it was kind of about God.

"...I sang to Professor Skywalker that he was the wind beneath my wings," Raven said.

Joan covered her mouth before she could start laughing because that would be mean.

"Oh. Oh wow. What did he say?" she finally managed.

"He did not react," Raven said. "I thought perhaps I was dreaming again, or hallucinating."

"Well, that's good, at least," Joan said. "He was probably embarrassed and figured it was Fandom weirdness."

"...then he began to sing to me," Raven went on. "And after that we tried to communicate with our minds and not voices to prevent the strange singing."

"You can do that?" Joan asked. "That would come in handy."

"I am not skilled at it," Raven said. "I have had some training on Azarath, but it is not one of my true gifts."

Joan nodded. "Maybe it's something you can train with more here."

She was going to say more, but then there was music and she started singing instead:

Joan looked vaguely embarrassed but couldn't stop herself from singing:

The music faded out and Joan shook her head. "Well..."

The songs were doing their damnedest to pull emotion of of Raven. "I am finding this most disconcerting," she said. Even if the sentiment -- if she could admit to feeling it -- was apt.

Joan nodded. "Yeah, I can imagine. You okay?"

"I am all right," Raven said, "for now at least." But if she started singing Evanescence songs, that might change.
