trigons_childRaven's overall mood hadn't improved much over the week. She'd been depressed the night of the dance because she didn't have a date. She'd also met Rory and Phoebe -- a fellow empath -- and that had been more enjoyable. But then Karla had needed her help, something she would never refuse. They had been successful in restoring her, but visiting Briarwoods had left her extremely shaken, especially since she had chosen to use her powers to cause harm to another.
She'd felt a little better after talking to Anakin and Aphrodite, but the wrongness of that place still wore on her. She knew she should try to be among her friends so that good feelings would drive away the bad, and while she knew their company would be welcomed and helpful, she found herself wishing she had a special someone to hold her and tell her she was loved and everything was going to be all right, and envious of those who did.
She didn't realize that her longing for affection was having an effect on her powers. Unconsciously, her powers of empathy were reaching out to fulfill that need, randomly causing others to begin to feel that love she craved.
Oops.
[So begins the weekend of looooooooove, as described in this post. As a reminder, the effect is voluntary, it seems perfectly normal, and it won't force you to take uncharacteristic actions (meaning it wouldn't make you want to kill Raven's other "suitors," unless that's how you usually approach relationships. Bel.) The effect is also not immediate, so if you have Halloween plans for your character, the web of looooooooove can affect them later. A post will go up to announce the effect ending (in theory sometime late Sunday), if you haven't been locked up by your SO by then. ;) Any questions, drop me an email or PM!]
